Reporting to General Manager, the Production Superintendant supervises the operation and maintenance activities of the Production Department including surface water treatment (30 MGD and 6 MGD) and ASR facilities, booster stations, and storage facilities. Ensures water quality meets all state and federal compliance requirements. Establishes standard operating procedures, develops and monitors capital and operating plan budgets, optimizes production operations, insures that safety programs are in place, oversees the operation and maintenance of the SCADA system, etc.
Associates Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Technology, or Environmental Science preferred or equivalent working experience of 5-7 years in water/wastewater plant operations. Has a thorough knowledge of operation and maintenance of water systems and related materials, equipment, and procedures. Must be able to communicate effectively, become familiar with and adhere to local, state and federal regulations, handle multiple projects, plan and execute operating and capital expeditures and resolve water production issues. Supervisory experience required. Appropriate state water/wastewater licensed operator certification, or ability to obtain such licensing within one year. Must obtain valid state driver's license.
